The toys mentioned above have a natural resistance element to putting together and pulling apart. This allows fingers and hands to be exercised while having fun. The creative building toys provide an opportunity not only for building hand strength but also for improving visual motor and perceptual skills.

The creative building toys provide an opportunity not only for building hand strength but also for improving visual motor and perceptual skills.
Suggestions:
- Set a time to build with your child. You can be creative and make your own ideas or follow patterns and designs from the kits.
- Try having your child duplicate what you have made. Take a few blocks or parts and build something. Have your child try to copy. Take turns with you copying his or her design.
- Make patterns with colors and have your child continue the pattern.

Directions: Using common household objects make a simple obstacle course inside or outside. Safe choices please, get parent permission first. Create your own obstacle course, take a picture of the obstacle course and send it to Ms. Jeannie. Have questions email: [email protected]
Step 1: Find something you can go over, crawl over, walk over, or jump over
Step 2: Find something you can go under
Step 3: Find something you can go around, crawl around, walk around, jump around
Step 4: Find something you can go through, crawl, walk or jump
Step 5: Make a “floor is lava” part, place objects you can step, jump, or crawl to without touching the floor.
